The DELL Inspiron 17R is the latest 17 inch PC desktop replacement from the DELL Company. This Inspiron 17R is powered by Intel Core i3 to i5 processos with Intel HD Graphics, this laptop is a budget wise gadget and its target market are the masses. The metallic look of this laptop gives a sense of a tough and classy look, but like many remarkable things, this 17R shiny finish complexion requires a high maintenance. With a dedicated graphics card, the 17R can handle most of semi-heavy games but its battery life is not that good.

The DELL Inspiron 17R offers a cleaner and thinner look and it is similar to Adamo series because of the hinge forward layout with the screen located in front of the back border of the framework. This feature offers a benefit of moving the screen more closely and giving more action to you. The outer shell of the 17R gives you a very stylish looks and an artificially brushed metallic screen cover. The appearance may look like it’s a metal but you can clean it easily.

The 17R’s build quality is remarkable; it has a very strong chassis and a very tough plastic. Even it has a large trail, its thin framework does not screech when you pick up it from the corners. The 17R’s keyboard and its palm rest feature have enough adequate support and do not hang down when under pressure.  The screen display has a protection cover; its screen has no problem. The two tough hinges make the display into position and give a tight grasp so that it won’t wiggle.

This laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core i13- i5 processors; it runs up to 2.4Ghz and supports hyperthreading. The 17R has a 4GB RAM DDR3, optimally for Windows 7 64-bit versions. For its storage, you can choose whether it is 320 GB or 500 GB but of course it will depend on your needs. For the display, the 17R is driven by Intel HD Graphics but there are some version of this laptop that uses ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 video card. It offers a directX compatibility and it is fit for semi-heavy gaming purposes plus it can accelerate selected applications. This graphics card can do a great job in video decoding and other multimedia needs.
